Since 1994, Greenfield Online has served online data collection needs of the largest research companies in the industry and helps companies get closer to their consumers by gathering consumer feedback. They started out as business unit of Greenfield Consulting Group, Inc, and then later IPO'ed in April 2004 and now trade on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol SRVY. In 2005 they aquired goZing.com, Rapidata.net, and Ciao GmbH, which broadened their global presence.

The company hosts several several online paid survey panels, and they claim to have paid their members over $4,000,000 in cash in 2006 alone. Greenfield Online has offices in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Romania, the US, and Canada, which has enabled it to build an online panel of millions of respondents around the globe.
